Scholarships
Shihezi University is a designated higher education institute which is authorized by China Scholarship Council and the Ministry of Education of China to induct and train international students under Chinese Government Scholarship Program. It also awards scholarships to excellent international students maximizing up to 2000 Yuan every year.
The University has also initiated many other kinds of scholarship programs with different scales and amounts; for those international students who manage to achieve excellence in different areas of their study and extracurricular activities.
University Scholarship（every academic year）
Proportion of students selected for this scholarship will be 22%.
Scholarship of outstanding students is based on the academic and evaluation marks. It is divided into three grades. The first scholarship will be granted to 5% of the total number of students amounting to 1800 Yuan. Second scholarship will be for 7% of the total students, which will amount for 1500 Yuan and the third scholarship for 10% of the total students, amounting to 1200 Yuan.
College Scholarship（every semester）
1. Scholarship for outstanding Students
Proportion of students selected for this scholarship will be 26%.
Scholarship of outstanding students is based on the academic and evaluation marks. It is divided into three grades. The first scholarship will be granted to 3% of the total number of students amounting to 800 Yuan. Second scholarship will be for 7% of the total students, which will amount for 600 Yuan and the third scholarship for 16% of the total students, amounting to 400 Yuan.
2. Professional Scholarship
1) This scholarship includes single subject scholarship and the HSK Scholarship. Single-subject winners will be awarded the first prize for doing best in a single subject, and the limit will be of 200 Yuan for each course.
2) HSK winner Scholarship aims to reward foreign students who take HSK during the course of study and get HSK level 4 (including HSK level 4).
3) HSK Scholarship will be awarded to students who had participated in and obtained HSK proficiency Test level 4,5 and 6 in the course of clinical medicine. For clearing HSK 4, the amount will be 400 Yuan. For HSK 5,the amount will be 500 Yuan.For HSK 6,the amount will be 600 Yuan. For the subsequent test of the same HSK level there will be no repeated scholarships but only if the level is upgraded.
